Jason Bay: No Longer the Coolest Canadian on Earth

Will he be in a U.S. Jersey in 2013?

Will he be in a U.S. Jersey in 2013?

F#$% Canada.

I guess going 0-5 with five Ks on Canada Day (July 1 is Canada Day, they do the same things that we do on the fourth, except they are nicer and have socialized healthcare) is too much for some people to handle. Why? Because after getting the Golden Sombrero on his birth nation’s biggest holiday, yesterday Jason Bay went from being our favorite Canadian to our favorite Canadian-American. I hope he hits better tomorrow or he may be Mexican by the end of the week.

Bay, who has been scuffling of late (he was 0-15 in the Baltimore series), was amongst 360 people who took the oath of citizenship yesterday in Fanueil Hall. Hopefully it brings back a bit of what we saw for the first two months of the season as opposed to the past weeks (2-30), which sucked more than that time that I mistook vodka with worcestireshire sauce in it for Jaegermeister (Not Pretty).

Tonight Bay will bring his American Awesomeness back to Fenway to start a three game set against the M’s. With Ten games left untill the All-Star Break, and the dregs of the AL (SEA, KC, MINN) coming to town, it’s time for the boys to put their foot on the jugular and apply some pressure. They are on pace for 100 wins (rounding up) and should be at 55 (minimum) before the break.

America! F#$% Yeah!

Go Sox.

Done.
